Yep!!! I do it all the time! I make mine with old crushed up blush or eyeshadow I no longer use, combine that with a teaspoon of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) and mix it up, and heat in a microwave for 30 seconds. Then you put it in the freezer for a few hours and when that's done, you can use it! It's great!

the only way i know is to crush lipstick into vaseline and mix well, then scoop it into an empty pot.
Vaseline!!

Just take a litte vaseline on the back of your hand, and you can use just that as a gloss, or add some of your favorite eyeshadow or blush to it and mix it up, it works great!
If you are using a pressed shadow or blush just scratch a little of with a knife and mix it in.
If you are using a loose pigment just scoop out a tiny bit and blend it in.
Also, you can do the same if you have any clear lipgloss or anything like that. I recommend you go to your local drugstore and buy some cheap clear gloss or some carmex or something.
I use carmex.
But vaseline works great too, it just turns out as more of a shiny lip balm, if you want that really gloss effect you need to start with an actual gloss.
Other than that I don't know how to actually make lipgloss from scratch.

You can mix vaseline with a drop of food colouring or lip stain and food flavouring as these are all edible (though you arent exactly meant to eat them!) and you have to mix it ALOT because vaseline doenst mix well with outher substances. Heating it gently with a hairdryer helps to mix it to, but believe me you have to mix for ages to get it eventually a smooth colour, I have done it myself!

Very Berry Lip Gloss:
Put the desired amount of vaseline into a glass bowl and then into the microwave for 30 seconds. When it has melted, add a powdered fruit juice mix to it and mix it together. Experiment until you have the desired color, and flavor. Don't eat too much! Once you have mixed it, put it back into the bowl, and into the microwave for another 30 seconds. Then, once it has melted again, put it into a small container, and put it in the fridge for 10-15 mintues. Then Enjoy.
This works with and kind of fruit juice mix. Also coffee mixes can be used!

Mix together: 1 teaspoon of vaseline, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of white sugar, 1/2 a teaspoon of butter, 1/4 a teaspoon of vanilla, then sprinkle with flour. Put into a plastic bag, and into a bowl of hot water for 5 min. Then pour into a small container and let it sit for one hour. Enjoy!

Stir in as much of the drink mix as possible. The actual amount will depend on the temperature of water. The more you can dissolve, the stronger the flavour will be.
You can choose the color and flavor of you lip gloss by the type of drink mix you use.
Add one drop of the water mixture to the shortening/honey base. Stir well. Repeat until you get the color/flavor combination you want. Pour into a clean container or old lip gloss pot.
Store in the refrigerator. Keeps for 3 days, but it tastes so good that you will use it up very fast!

You don't have to put it in the refrigerator either! Add a tiny drop of water if you like and mix it in. It stains your lips because it's kool-aid my lips were red and they looked cute! Taste it! it tastes good If you like sour or sweet!
I used ';Pop Rocks'; in one batch (melted) and wow! A big flavor burst! I'd say better than brands that are for sale! I also used some yummy teas such as strawberry, chamomile, and ';sleepy time';! They were wonderful!

You have no idea the number of girls I've seen come through the dermatologists office or run to the estheticians because they thought they could make their own lip plump only to severely damage the skin on their lips. There is a reason lip plump is so expensive. It has to be made in a lab and it has to be very carefully monitored for PH and for adverse effects. Cinnamon oil will chap your lips and trigger cold sores in those prone to cold sores if you don't have a way to buffer the ph and stabilize it. There are no home stabilizers for this. It's done chemically in a lab. Plumpers fall into two categories, those who plump with chemically stabilized and buffered cinnamon by causing a controlled allergic reaction to the cinnamon, and those who use chemical collagen boosters to plump the lips from within. Neither of these things are available over the counter. You are asking for scarred lips, doing this at home. I'm talking from experience here, this is not pretty and it's not easy to pay to have fixed when you damage your lips this badly. Also, many people want to make at home glosses with vaseline. That's the exact wrong way to go. Petroleum products rob the skin of moisture causing ';lipgloss addiction'; and when you pair it with cinnamon oil which in it's pure form is very dangerous on the skin you are setting yourself up for bloody chapped lips. I've never seen a case where this didn't cause bleeding. Go on ebay and try and find some lip venom cheap. You may want to consider exfoliating your lips. Try using a bit of salt on a toothbrush and scrub. Don't overscrub, though. You can also lighten your lips by applying a concealer(fair or light tone) before applying lipstick. It will benefit you two ways: lighten the lips(temporarily) and make the lipstick stay on a bit longer.

You can put coco powder in mix it up for chocolate lip gloss with a hint of a dark colored tint or you could use a packet of sugar free kool aid whatever flavor color you like. Make small batches and store in small containers. I would suggest using an old lip balm jar and only make enough to fill it.
If you take vaseline, and mix it with a little eyeshadow it'll turn up in eyeshadow. Make sure you use a color eyeshadow that'd make a nice lipgloss color.

Now start by spraying the airbrush foundation onto an essence of beauty sponge, and applying all over your face. Airbush foundation delivers a light and even coverage. Then suck in your lips so you make a fishy face, now your cheek bones are exposed, so apply the cream blush with your fingers to your cheek bones. Apply the almay brown topaz liquid eyeliner halfway across your lower lashline. Now apply a tiny ammout of cream shaddow to both of your lids and make sure to blend upwards into your brown bone. Next apply two coats of lash blast mascara, and finish with two coats of lipgloss!

I love all the limited edition lipglosses, and the only problem is, they're a little on the small side. So I generally stick to the lip gelee's cause you get a whole tube of them then :]
Otherwise I'd say lancome juicy tubes because they're thick and long lasting and taste great. There's also quite alot of product and colour range.

How can I make my own lip gloss?

Take about a tablespoon and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and put it in for another 30. Do that untill it's completely melted. Then you can add flavoring. I use about a teaspoon of hot cocoa powder, and it tastes great. Really glossy, too. ;)How can I make my own lip gloss?

1 tsp honey

Homemade Vanilla Lip Gloss
Ingredients:
1 tsp petroleum jelly
1 tsp aloe vera gel
1 and 1\2 teaspoons coconut oil
1\2 teaspoon vanilla
Heat ingredients together in a double-boiler and pour into jars.

Ingredients:
7-8 tsp. sweet almond oil
2 tsp. beeswax
1 Vitamin E capsule
1 tsp. honey
5 drops citrus flavoring or essential oil (or you may like lime)

Melt the sweet almond oil and beeswax together in the microwave safe container for 1-2 minutes. Ingredients:
1 tbsp sweet almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 tsp honey
Mix all ingredients together in a microwave for 2 min or until the mixture just begins 2 boil. Stir well and gently crush the berries. Then strain through a fine seine 2 remove all the fruit pieces. Pour into a small container.
Homemade Vanilla Lip Gloss
Ingredients:
1 tsp petroleum jelly
1 tsp aloe vera gel
1 and 1\2 teaspoons coconut oil
1\2 teaspoon vanilla
Heat ingredients together in a double-boiler and pour into jars.
Honey Citrus Lip Gloss
Ingredients:
7-8 tsp. sweet almond oil
2 tsp. beeswax
1 Vitamin E capsule
1 tsp. honey
5 drops citrus flavoring or essential oil (or you may like lime)
Microwave-safe container with lid
Cosmetic / balm container with lid
Melt the sweet almond oil and beeswax together in the microwave safe container for 1-2 minutes. Remove the mixture from the microwave, and pierce the vitamin E capsule with a pin or tip fo a knife, and squirt into mixture. Whisk the contents of the vitamin E capsule, honey, and flavoring, into the oil mixture, continuing to whisk until set. Spoon your new lip gloss into a small, balm container with tight lid.

you take a eyeshadow color that you like and put some of it into a tiny vat of vaseline and mix. it works...ish. you just have to be patient. it takes a while.

Add one drop of the water mixture to the shortening/honey base. Stir well. Repeat until you get the color/flavor combination you want. Pour into a clean container or old lip gloss pot.
Step 4:
Store in the refrigerator. Keeps for 3 days, but it tastes so good!!

Small container (recycle old makeup containers or 35mm film containers, or look in stores that carry beads, crafts, or fishing tackle)

Take an old lipgloss pot, because slathering this stuff in a tube is just too messy.

Go home, scoop a glob of Vaseline into a microwave safe container and microwave it for a short amount of time [Only about 15 seconds], so it will be a bit softer. After you do this, scoop the glob of warm Vaseline into the lipgloss pot and then add a few drops of whatever flavor extract you've decided upon...mix it in with a toothpick...and voila...homemade lipgloss.
I read this in a magazine once...and I've done this and it came out pretty good. The only thing that bothers me is that usually lipgloss in pots are rather firm, whereas this homemade kind is more mushy...but it still does the same thing.

How can I make my own homemade lip gloss?

I want it to be pink with glitter. Is it possible to make it with out sweet almond oil and castor oil and that stuff?

a very simple moisturizer for your lips/face/skin etc is glycerine. If you go on ebay and search vegetable glycerine you will find bottles of it for cheap prices.
you can then add essential oils and things like cocoa butter or aloe vera etc to the glycerine.

Choose the color of lipstick or blush that you will use to tint your homemade lip gloss.
Scoop your petroleum jelly into a plastic bag.
Cut off a small amount of lipstick or some cream blush and put it in the bag with the petroleum jelly. Start with a small amount in order to see if the color is the right shade. You can always add more later.
Close the plastic zipper bag while letting out the air and gently squish the petroleum jelly and lipstick mixture together in order to mix in the color.
After mixing your lip gloss completely, determine if you have achieved the appropriate shade. If you want to go darker then you can add more lip stick.
Cut a small hole in the corner of your plastic bag and squeeze the lip gloss into a small plastic container. Put on the lid and store in your purse or makeup bag.

The only one I know of that actually works well and actually makes lip GLOSS instead of lip BALM is by using 2 tablespoons Crisco (vegetable shortening) and 1 tablespoon Kool-Aid drink mix (this will be the flavor %26amp;color of your lipgloss soo you might not wanna chose a crazy color). haha then you microwave the Crisco %26amp;Kool-Aid together til they melt and pour it into whatever small container you're going to be using. Let that sit in the refrigerator for 30minutes to thicken (so its not a liquid) and then you're doneee. I just take a little bit of eyeshadow (pigment, or if you only have the type in the little pans, just take a brush and rub it for a little bit to get some of it to break up) and mix it with vaseline. I haven't tried putting it in a container or anything, so I don't know how well it keeps, but I've made some really pretty glosses that way.
Oh and about the one person that said it won't taste very good, you don't taste anything. But it will dry your lips up if you try using a brush to put the eyeshadow on before putting vaseline/balm over it.
Yeah lol it's perfectly fine sweetie :) but I would use Pigments instead of eyeshadows, because it's a lot less messy than having to crush your shadows and mixing them.
lets break it down... if it's safe enough to get into your eyeball then it's safe enough to use on your lips. It wouldn't taste good but it's safe.

yeah it does...reason being alot of lip plumpers use things like spices and other ingredients that will irritate your lips in a way in which it makes them appear thicker. Thats the trick to it..This is why you feel a tingly sensation when you use them. I tried Buxom Lips by Bare Escentuals and it hurt so bad it stopped using it...but yes it does work..Do any of those lip plumping gloss actually make your lips look fuller?

They work temporarily for as long as they're on your lips. The thickness of the gloss and some of the ingredients in the gloss is absorbed into your lip's skin cells and help create the illusion that your lips are fuller. This shouldn't be done everyday though because plumping out the skin of your lips will cause wrinkles and fine lines on your lips over time because it ';stretches out'; your lips, and this can clearly be seen whenever you don't have the gloss on. The best times to use it should just probably be for special occasions.
Instead of using a plumping gloss, though, you can just use a solid/classic/old fashioned lipstick in a light shade and a lip liner thats slightly darker than the lipstick color and outline your lips the way you want them to look. This won't be as ';damaging'; as the gloss, and you can control how you want your lips to look.
This is my regimen: Plain ChapStick first, Mary Kay Lip Plumper second, lip gloss third. Let the lip plumper dry before you put on the gloss, but it really works and your lips look fabulous. I've been doing that for about a year now and my lips look great, if I do say so myself.

Close the plastic zipper bag while letting out the air and gently squish the petroleum jelly and lipstick mixture together in order to mix in the color.
After mixing your lip gloss completely, determine if you have achieved the appropriate shade. If you want to go darker then you can add more lip stick.
Cut a small hole in the corner of your plastic bag and squeeze the lip gloss into a small plastic container. Put on the lid and store in your purse or makeup bag.

My personal favorite is some kind of vaseline with peppermint oil... It smells REALLY good!

* petroleum jelly (the pellet-shaped sort works best)
* Sunflower oil or another kind of vegetable oil or coconut oil
* Flavoring and/or scent like Kool Aid or Torani drink flavoring.(You can also use honey for flavor and color. Just melt the honey with the Vaseline.)
* Coloring (pinch a bit from your favorite lipstick or using food coloring)
* Any additives you might like (vitamin E)
* Small containers (old lip gloss containers or you can buy plastic tubes at the drug store)
1. Assemble the ingredients.
2. Place a quarter cup of the petroleum jelly in the pot.
3. Add two tablespoons of the oil.
4. Stir the mixture of oil and jelly as it slowly melts together.
5. Put in microwave for 1 min.
6. Remove from heat once the wax and oil have melted together. Add desired flavorings, and/or color.
7. Pour it into small pots for storage.
8. Let it cool.
9. Store in a cool environment (such as a refrigerator) and use within 2 days for beautiful lips!
