Why is sodium used in making lip gloss?what is it used for?
maybe becoz u need sumthing 2 make out another thing thats y they use it!!!
My lips are like redish color. and i was wondering what lip gloss would make them pale pink?

well since you lips are more pigmented you can either get this thing called lip erase from mac but I think it's a pro product but you can still order it by phone or just use concealer but if you use concealer make sure your lips are smooth and not peeling or cracked and make sure it's not to noticeable just condition your lips with a chapstick or something like it (avon has a lip conditioner) and then wait a while so it can penetrate your lips and make them soft cause concealer can dry out your lips out then dab and rub in a little bit of concealer to your lips to make them pale and then apply a pale pink lipstick or lipgloss. also make sure you keep your lips moisturized all the time with a lip balm that has an SPF in it like softlips with SPF 20 because you lips may just have a sunburn all the time if you don't use a spf. hope this helps. good luckMy lips are like redish color. and i was wondering what lip gloss would make them pale pink?

use vaseline and melt it (in a microwave or a pot) and add you favourite energy drink or koolaid. you can also add a slice of old lipstick that you never used when the vaseline is melting to give you lipgloss some colour.
if you wanna give the lipgloss a harder texture, then add a bit of beeswax. that way you can also add honey if you like!
but dont add honey when you dont have beeswax cos it wwill go all runny. also add the honey after youve melted the vaseline
for vitamins, add a capsule of vitamin e oil. just prick a hole with a needle and squeeze it out. its great for chapped lips!

it depends on they one you use i wish mine where fuller and i have tried a few so...
too faced lip injection is agony it really stings but you look more pouty.
too faced regular lip glosses are still a bit painful.
too faced lip mask is also painful.
soap %26amp; glorys mother pucker is ok less painful and there are only a few naturalish shades.
urban decay is ok not so painful.
in all i dont think they are so good mostly i use the soap %26amp;glory one its the least painful and if you have small thin lips like mine its best to keep it natural!!

If you recently purchased it, I would return it.

If not, such as if their store policies don't permit that, you can try to warm them up to see if you can bring them back to life. Just run them under hot water (in the sink) or fill a bowl of hot water up and put them in there for a few minutes to see if the product will loosen up and come together.

HELP!! I don't really wear make up (lip gloss) and I started a new job that my appearence is VERY important.?
what are some quick everyday tips I can do (makeup) l can do. I want to keep my makeup lite because I'm more of a ';natural'; person. I have slightly sensitive skin also.

If you're a natural eprson, then use natural shades. Earth tones like soft tans and browns for eyeshadow... a 'highlight' means that you have a lighter color closer to your brow, and the 'base' is the color closer to your eyelash. Use shades of the same color, or a really light soft pink on the top with a slightly dark brown on bottom. Mascara will accent it all really nicely, and the good stuff won't shift under your eyes. If you want to experiment with eyeliner, make sure that you keep it thin, and CLOSE to your eye... Best way to do this is to grab your eyelash and gently pull downward, and then sharpen your pencil and draw in short smooth lines an overall smooth line along the edge.
You don't need makeup, although I enjoy it, your skin will be better in the long run without it. If you have any skin issues, use bare minerals (the original) it has minerals that are good for ur skin and can be as light or heavy as u want depending on how much you put on.
Otherwise, try dressing up ur hair or straightening it for a ';done up'; look.
As for makeup, use lipgloss with some color and for your eyes use an eyeshadow close to ur skin color with some shimmer
it adds a little makeupwithout looking too intense.
and use 1 coat mascara and some eyeliner.
this is a basic look you can try =)

Fruity Lip Gloss
Ingredients:
2 Tbls. solid shortening
1 Tbls fruit-flavored powdered drink mix
35 mm film container
Mix shortening %26amp; drink mix together in a microwave safe bowl till smooth..
Place in microwave on high for 30 seconds until mix becomes a liquid!
Pour into clean film container, or any other small airtight container, then
Place mix into fridge for 20-30 minutes or till firm!

It has a funny taste so when you get kissed, the guy is going yuck and you are enjoying it. Why would you want lipstick to stay longer unless you want no one kissing you?

I've been trying MAC lipglass, and it seems like you really, REALLY need to make sure your lips are well-moisturized before applying. otherwise it looks terrible. lipglass also almost seems to dry them out. does your lip gloss look good? do you just constantly apply lip balm when you're not wearing the gloss, to keep the lips moisturized %26amp; plump?

I've never used MAC but I would suggest going to Bath and Body works or Sephora and get a liquid lip plumper of a different brand.
The trick is to apply a good lipstick under the lip gloss, it has to be a color that compliments the color of the lip gloss. Most good lipsticks moisturize, so it will solve your problem.
I use L'oreal and i find it ok, if you have dry lips try just plain vaseline at night or kiehls lip balm let it soak in over night. They only problems I have it just seems to disappear!! Never used MAC so I can't comment on it but consider switching if your unhappy.
I use bare minerals and I love it. It doesn't dry my lips out. I wear the Wearable Nude color.
I've never had a problem with lip gloss, and I've never used MAC. With any lipgloss you will have to reapply often, or more often than lipstick.
I use MAC tinted lip conditioner stick with spf 15 so your lips get proteced and also it doesnt dry out like other glosses. You can wear that alone during the day, and then as a bottom and a top coat over a gloss at night!
I've had that problem with the LipGlass as well...pretty colors but I don't use it.
In my purse right now I have Maybelline Shinylicious in Cinnamon Apple, L'Oreal HIP in Pixie and a Rimmel lipgloss.
All three of these are much cheaper than MAC, and are much more moisturizing. I don't need to wear lipbalm with these, they are my lipbalm.movie theatre

I use L'oreal and i find it ok, if you have dry lips try just plain vaseline at night or kiehls lip balm let it soak in over night. They only problems I have it just seems to disappear!! Never used MAC so I can't comment on it but consider switching if your unhappy.
I use bare minerals and I love it. It doesn't dry my lips out. I wear the Wearable Nude color.
I've never had a problem with lip gloss, and I've never used MAC. With any lipgloss you will have to reapply often, or more often than lipstick.
I use MAC tinted lip conditioner stick with spf 15 so your lips get proteced and also it doesnt dry out like other glosses. You can wear that alone during the day, and then as a bottom and a top coat over a gloss at night!
I've had that problem with the LipGlass as well...pretty colors but I don't use it.
In my purse right now I have Maybelline Shinylicious in Cinnamon Apple, L'Oreal HIP in Pixie and a Rimmel lipgloss.
All three of these are much cheaper than MAC, and are much more moisturizing. I don't need to wear lipbalm with these, they are my lipbalm.

Try a little concealer over your lips. Then apply peachy pink light lip color.

Small container
This basic recipe makes a very soft sweet honey lip balm which will nourish your lips and leave them shiny.
First you put the Vaseline and honey in a small microwavable container and microwave until melted. You can also use a double boiler method to melt down the vaseline.
Mix well and pour into pots allow to cool before use. Insure all containers are sterile by boiling them to prevent contamination of your lip loss.
If you wish to dye this balm you can use a cosmetic coloring available from home made body product supply stores. You can also use a small amount of store bought lipstick to tint the balm.

I have noticed that not alot of guys don't really care for all that gunk all over and they don't like the taste of lip gloss anyways so girls if you read this believe me less is more.

Put Almond oil in the henna root powder and allow it to soak for about 10 days. Strain the solution after 10 days and as explained in the recipe given before, add soft wax after melting it. When your lip paste is cool enough apply it with the help of a lip brush. This will bring a new shine on your lips.
